Call for Papers

The 4th World Conference
on Smart Tourism WCST

WCST2026@Da Nang 16-19 December 2026

Duy Tân University, Da Nang, Vietnam

Types of Submissions
You may submit your work under the following categories:
  • Full Papers(1,000 words)

Completed research with clear objectives, methods, results, and implications. Submissions should present a well-defined research question, rigorous methodology, and clear theoretical and/or practical contributions.

  • Short Papers(500 words)

Emerging or in-progress studies, including preliminary analyses or case studies, submitted for idea exchange and formative feedback. These submissions may focus on early-stage empirical results, conceptual developments, or exploratory cases.

  • Oral Presentation(Presentation Only)

Presentation slides must be prepared using the official WCST 2026 presentation template in PowerPoint and submitted in PDF format, with no page limit. The slides should clearly outline: title, research purpose, background, method/approach, key findings or insights, and conclusion. The expected presentation time is 15–20 minutes, although this may be subject to change depending on the final program schedule.

  • Undergraduate Pitching Competition

Undergraduate submissions presenting innovative ideas or early-stage projects, outlined through a brief proposal. Submissions should clearly explain the core idea, its motivation, and potential impact in the conference domain. All submissions must clearly indicate the intended category at the time of submission.

Language and File Format
  • All submissions must be written in English.

  • All submissions must be in Adobe PDF format only.

  • Files submitted in other formats will not be considered for review.

  • The PDF file must be generated from a word processor (e.g., MS Word) to ensure proper rendering of text, tables, and figures.

Template and Formatting Requirements
  • All submissions must use the official WCST 2026 Paper Submission Template, which will be provided on the conference website (Word format).

  • Authors should format their paper by directly editing the template, keeping all predefined styles (title, headings, body text, captions, references, etc.) unchanged.

  • Page/word limits must be respected for each submission type (1,000 words for Full Papers, 500 words for Short Papers; Undergraduate Pitching Competition proposals should remain concise and focused).

  • For Oral Presentation, presentation slides must use the official WCST 2026 presentation template (PowerPoint format), be submitted in PDF, and have no page limit.

  • Figures and tables should be embedded in the text near their first mention and must include numbered captions.

  • References should be formatted consistently (e.g., APA 7th edition or the style specified in the template).

Any submission that does not use the official template or does not comply with the formatting requirements may be desk rejected without review.

Anonymity and Blind Review

WCST 2026 follows a double-blind review process.

  • The submission PDF must not contain any author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or other identifying information.

  • Self-citations should be written in a way that does not reveal the authors’ identity (e.g., “Prior work has shown…” instead of “In our previous work…”).

  • Authors must also remove identifying information from document properties and file metadata before generating the final PDF.

Submissions that reveal any author-identifying information may be rejected without review.

Originality and Concurrent Submissions
  • Submissions must be original and must not have been previously published in any journal, conference, or other archival venue.

  • Submissions must not be under review or consideration elsewhere at the time of submission.

  • It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that all co-authors agree with the submission and that ethical and institutional requirements (e.g., IRB for human subjects) have been satisfied where applicable.

Use of Generative AI

WCST 2026 adopts a policy similar to leading international conferences (e.g., ICIS) regarding the use of generative AI tools.

  • If generative AI (e.g., large language models, image generation tools) has been used in the preparation of the manuscript, authors must clearly disclose how it was used in a dedicated note (e.g., in the methodology or acknowledgements section) in the camera-ready version.

  • Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the submitted work, regardless of any AI assistance.

Submission System and Procedure
  • All submissions must be made electronically through the EasyChair system (submission link to be provided on the WCST 2026 website).

  • During submission, authors will be asked to enter:

    1. Paper title

    2. Abstract

    3. Keywords

    4. Author names, affiliations, and contact information (entered in the system only, not in the PDF).

Authors should verify that the uploaded PDF corresponds exactly to the final version intended for review.
